Midwood Street Townhouse
This completed project involved the renovation of a late 19th-century row house located in the historic district of Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Working closely with the clients and skilled trades, MuNYC provided comprehensive architectural design services and handled all expediting with the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) and Department of Buildings (DOB) to ensure seamless approvals for the renovation.
The project focused on enlarging and renovating the kitchen, enhancing the space by maximizing natural light through the enlargement of window openings. A new deck was added off the kitchen, creating a perfect setting for outdoor dinner parties and extending the home’s usable space. In the basement, the laundry area was renovated and upgraded with the addition of a new bathroom, increasing functionality and comfort for the homeowners.
This thoughtful renovation carefully balanced modern convenience with the historic character of the home, enhancing both its beauty and livability.
