Fifth Avenue Apartment

The renovation at 955 Fifth Avenue, a pre-war building on the Upper East Side across from Central Park, involved a full gut renovation of a floor-through apartment.

Collaborating closely with the client’s interior design firm, the project sought to balance the client’s goals with the building’s strict alteration regulations. Every space was updated, and non-compliant electrical and plumbing installations were corrected following thorough asbestos abatement and structural fireproofing repairs. The apartment’s windows were replaced in compliance with NYC Landmark Preservation rules, and the through-wall air conditioning system was extended throughout the space. MuNYC managed all agency approvals and sign-offs.

The result is a thoughtfully designed 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home that seamlessly integrates modern amenities with the building’s classic charm.
